50th Reunion Restaurant Ideas

Though you can still find Ming's, Kirk's and The Oasis, they look and feel way different now, from the old days. Most of the places we knew are long gone. No more Lommie's, Chuck's Steak House, Rudolfo's or Reno Club -- and the Peninsula Creamery now has a liquor license. Go figure.

Downtown Palo Alto has literally dozens of good restaurants. Mountain View's Castro Street has emerged as a "happening place!" -- a stimulating center for international dining, much of it with outdoor seating. Los Altos is mostly quiet and low key. And El Camino Real offers a wide variety, as it always has.
